About Byron Prather
Meet Byron Prather, an accomplished musician currently making his home in the vibrant city of Temecula, CA. With a musical journey that began in his youth, Byron has been performing for crowds on the West coast for years. Hailing originally from the musical hub of Seattle, WA, he continues to share his musical gifts as an integral part of two beloved Seattle bands: Long Live Rock and Good Day Sunshine.
Adding to his portfolio, Byron takes center stage as the lead singer of the acclaimed Huey Lewis Tribute band named Hip to Be Square, based in Temecula, CA. Byron and his bands have garnered recognition through features in magazines, TV shows, and newspapers.
In 2022, Byron made Temecula his home and promptly embarked on a solo musical venture, much to the delight of patrons frequenting wineries and breweries in the region. Byron’s music journey is driven by a profound and unwavering passion for the craft, a sentiment that resonates powerfully through his performances.
What sets Byron apart is his ability to connect with the audience, tailoring his performance to match the energy of the moment. His repertoire spans across classic rock, folk, country, and indie genres, encompassing iconic tunes from legends like Tom Petty, Bob Seger, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles, to contemporary hits from artists such as Prince, Ed Sheeran, and Chris Stapleton. Byron’s musical style strikes a balance between impactful and subtle.
